Information for High School Instructors
The UNO library welcomes any visitors to use its facilities and resources for academic research. Discussion with librarians about the appropriateness of the UNO resources for the student assignments is advised. Based on past experience, it has been determined that generally the UNO library is not an appropriate facility for research for students younger than high school age (ninth grade). The resources are chosen for the abilities of college age students and to meet the needs of the curriculum of UNO, and will not meet the needs of younger students.
The computers available are not filtered for content.
The Library Instruction department will provide instruction on the use of library resources to high school librarians, media specialists, or classroom teachers by appointment. If preferred, the library can provide the instruction directly to the students during a scheduled visit. To reserve a library classroom or schedule instruction, call 402-554-3638.
