Over 80 public computing workstations are available on the main floor of the library. Each workstation features the following software:
In addition, all computers are equipped with with CD burners while over 15 feature DVD burners. USB floppy disk drives are available for checkout at Circulation.
Workstations designed for group use are available in the group study rooms that can be reserved at the Circulation desk.
Specialized Computing Workstations
Two scanning workstations are located near the Reference Desk on the main floor. These workstations are equipped with the most recent versions of Adobe Photoshop (for image scanning) and OmniPage Pro (for text scanning). Both scanning workstations feature flatbed scanners, allowing for scanning sizes up to 8.5 x 11 as well as the scanning of slides and film negatives using specialized adaptors. Three workstations available in the public computing area feature software used for disability access. Printing
All workstations print to a centralized print center. More information on printing is available here.
Wireless users may now also print to a centralized print center if the appropriate printer driver is installed. More information, links to the drivers, and installation instructions can be found on the ITS printing information page.
