Help Using Electronic Resources Off Campus
Leo Proxy
In July 2001, the UNO Library adopted a new proxying system called Leo.
To access indexes from off campus using Leo proxy, users should simply select the appropriate index or electronic journal link from this website. You will be taken to an "Authentication Required" screen and asked for your last name and UNO Library barcode. Enter your last (family) name in all lower case and the 14-digit barcode that appears on the front of your UNO identification.
Off-campus access to electronic indexes (databases) is restricted by contract to certain users. Most of the indexes can be used from off campus by
- UNO students, faculty, staff
- who are currently registered at the Library, and
- who have a Library barcode.
Any exceptions to database access restrictions are noted under the "Access" description of the individual index listing.
Problems with Leo
Please note: you must have cookies enabled on your browser for the Leo proxy service to work properly. Most browsers are configured to accept cookies by default and no special action is required.
Depending on the indexes you are using, America On Line (AOL) users may encounter some problems. If you encounter problems while using AOL, please see these instructions.
If you experience difficulties in authentication or using Leo, please contact:
