collections: government documents -- Nebraska documents.
Between 1976 and 2005, the Nebraska Library Commission distributed microfiche copies of state documents to fourteen depository libraries across the state, and over 35,000 documents were made publicly accessible through the program. In 2005, the Commission discontinued microfiche and began electronic-only distribution. The UNO Library recorded the Nebraska microfiche in the Library Catalog, and we continue to add catalog records for electronic documents. Records for electronic documents include Internet links to connect researchers to servers at the Nebraska Library Commission or other state agencies.
Catalog records for Nebraska documents invariably include the word Nebraska in the subject or author fields, so including Nebraska as a term in a keyword search will return records for pertinent Nebraska documents. Researchers may also use the Library Catalog's "modify search" function to restrict results to the location of Nebraska documents.
The Nebraska Library Commission provides a directory of state depository libraries at http://www.nlc.state.ne.us/docs/locdep.html. The commission also maintains a directory of Nebraska documents published on the Internet at its State Publications Online website: http://www.nlc.state.ne.us/docs/pilot/pilot.html.
