Who are the UNO Library Friends?

The UNO Library Friends is a diverse group of service-oriented individuals who share enthusiasm for the reading of good books, meeting noted authors, surfing the Internet, and enhancing the role of the library in the University and the community.

What do the Friends do?

Friends provide organizational and financial support for library collections and services that is not available from public funding sources.

Their accomplishments include:

- Purchase of library equipment and materials
- Support for volunteer activities
- The Distinguished Service Award for outstanding library employees
- Library beautification project
- Fund raising

Friends plan special events such as:

- Lectures
- Exhibits
- Book Talks
- Research Reviews

Why be a Friend?
